My kids love this game while traveling because this version of CATAN is for children. And what to say about kids; the whole family enjoys this game and I always feel that the game is great to create a strong family bond. With this game, you can’t get bored even if you are on a long trip. The game design is unique. In this version of CATAN, there are no more colonists, and pirates have replaced them to be attractive. Game rules have been simplified. There are no more cities here. You just need to build pirate camps. The roads were replaced by pirate ships. The distance limitation has disappeared and “fields” can be erected at adjacent corners of the hex. Instead of two dice at the start of the turn, only one is rolled. The game continues until someone builds 7 settlement camps. Common features, of course, remained unchanged, but in general, the game became much simpler and more accessible.
