Calling all beer lovers! It’s time to base your travels around trying out your drink of choice. Plan a trip (or more) out to some of the best breweries in America to drink at in 2020. From brews in the nooks of Vermont to hopped out IPAs beachside, this list caters to every travel and taste bud need. Check out the list below!

La Cumbre Brewing Co.

Albuquerque, New Mexico

You may not think of New Mexico as a cerevisaphile’s haven, but La Cumbre Brewing Company will change your mind. Plan a trip out to the beautiful Albuquerque for the sights, but make sure to save time and experience this microbrewery’s mastery—their Elevated IPA will become a favorite.

Trillium Brewing Company

Boston, Massachusetts

Boston boasts over 200 breweries to choose from, but Trillium has been a favorite for years. Skip the Boston brewery tours and head straight to Trillium. They constantly pump out new beers—try out their new pomegranate and blackberry sour or the Switchboard Operator, a double IPA.

Surly Brewing Co.

Minneapolis, Minnesota

This massive taproom will have you craving their hopped-out brews long after your vacation. It’s a busy place, but once you can find a seat, dig into their refined eatery and their diverse beer selection. Our favorites include their champagne-inspired lager (watch out, it goes down easy but it’s ABV is at 9%) or the iconic Surly Furious IPA.

Hudson Valley Brewing

Beacon, New York

Few people think about taking a day trip outside of New York—except for New Yorkers, and especially those who know about Hudson Valley Brewing. The small brewery introduces hit after hit with their hazy IPAs and diverse sours. Plan a trip to NYC, then take a step to the outskirts to check this brewery off your must-visit list.

Maui Brewing Company

Kihei, Hawaii

Not many people think about Hawaii when it comes to beer, but Maui Brewing Company does it right. Especially for those who want a tropical vacation but still crave beer, this is the place to go. As Hawaii’s largest craft brewery, you’ll find styles from their Coconut Hiwa Porter to their Bikini Blonde lager.

Cycle Brewing

St. Petersburg, Florida

Another spot for the beach lovers, this bike-themed brewery and taproom is one of the more laidback destinations on this list. It’s small but it’s growing fast, so head here before it gets jampacked. Don’t miss their killer IPAs!

Brewery Bhavana

Raleigh, North Carolina

A trip out to Raleigh is never a bad idea, and when you pair that with Brewery Bhavana, you’re in for a treat. The brewery itself is wonderfully aesthetically pleasing, and the beers taste even better—try out Glean, their Mango Peppercorn Saison, for a treat. With ten core beers and thirty others on rotation, they hope to have you sip and remember something you love.

Hill Farmstead Brewery

Greensboro Bend, Vermont

The last on our list is the rustic and exquisite Hill Farmstead Brewery. Vermont is a gorgeous place to visit, and this spot will solidify that for you. The brews are soft and elegant, and you’ll be hard-pressed to find a mediocre one—their wood-conditioned Czech-style dark lager exemplifies elegance!

As you travel to your location of choice, make sure you plan out a designated driver before you imbibe. Drink responsibly, and know how alcohol affects your body, especially in different climates and at different altitudes. Never drink and drive—travel safe, drink well and responsibly, and enjoy the creativity bursting forth from the foam!
