This small, charming town is big in character and content! Home to one of the best bookstores (Hub City Writers Project), BMW factory, track and museum; several arboretums; train tracks turned to trails (new bike trail opens this Friday) and so much more. We work with Spartanburg Marriott which has a big lawn, spacious pool and steps from the Chapman Cultural Center (arts, museums, music, more). Bluefields Bay Villas, Jamaica

This product was recommended by Dana Cohen from Bluefields Bay Villas

A collection of six all-inclusive luxury villas, Bluefields Bay Villas is located on Jamaica’s south coast. Situated on the hilly coastline overlooking the sea, each open-air private villa is equipped with expansive views, private pools, dedicated butler, maid service and chef, and is designed with antique island charm, allowing the beauty of the island to take center stage. Each villa, ranging from two to six bedrooms, has its own personality, from the palatial-like San Michele house with its private island to the intimate Cottonwood Cottage tucked in the trees. COVID: The Minister of Tourism just visited the other day and inspected the property personally to place the government’s seal of approval for safety measures. They provided touches hand sanitizers throughout, social distancing floor stickers and contactless thermometers. Additionally, testing for staff is happening regularly and the each ’team’ will remain only at their assigned villa, no crossover. Therefore if one team member may get sick, they can isolate a villa vs closing down the entire property. Additionally, all guests get access to Club Mobay (VIP expedited service through customs) which allows for a shorter time spent in the airport AKA less contact with individuals.

Niagara on the Lake, Ontario, Canada

This product was recommended by Bruce Harpham from BruceHarpham

I recommend this location as a great place to visit for Canadians for a few reasons. First, I enjoy visiting the area’s historical sights related to the War of 1812. In addition, you can hike along the Bruce Trail here. Finally, if you just want to relax and enjoy a drink, there are dozens of wineries in the area. I have been to the area several times and I have planned my next visit for September 2020.

Colorado Springs

This product was recommended by Spencer Yeomans from Untamed Space

You really can’t go wrong with visiting anywhere in Colorado, but the Springs are full of activities for any type of lifestyle. Drive up Pike’s Peak, visit the Garden of the Gods, hike or climb in Cheyenne Canyon, and enjoy the view of the mountains as you unwind for the day. It’s easy to drive for a few minutes into the mountains and forget that there’s a bustling civilization nearby, which is why I love this city so much.

Moab, Utah

This product was recommended by Spencer Yeomans from Untamed Space

Moab is a quaint little town that’s surrounded by an immense amount of natural beauty. I love it for all the rock climbing opportunities, as well as the hiking and mountain biking. If you go to Arches National Park, prepare to have your jaw hit the ground at the sight of all the amazing monoliths. It’s impossible to not feel your adventuring spirit revive in the presence of such grand rock formations.

Duluth, MN

This product was recommended by Spencer Yeomans from Untamed Space

I might be a little biased since Minnesota is my home state, but Duluth is one of my favorite places to visit. There’s nothing quite like looking out at Lake Superior during the sunrise or sunset, and seeing the water extend well past the horizon. There are plenty of scenic places up and down the coast that are worth stopping at for a picnic, especially after a hike through the pine forests. And of course, you can’t go to Duluth without watching a few barges float beneath the famous lift bridge.

Spain

This product was recommended by Philip Weiss from PhilipWeiss

Even though the European continent was the most affected by the virus during the first semester of the year, many governments have eased quarantine rules to start receiving visitors again under certain restrictions. Such is the case in Spain, a country that had one of the most strict lockdowns in Europe but has been welcoming tourists for the past two months. One of the places that has filled up again with visitors after tourism was reactivated in Spain is Barcelona, where iconic sites such as the Sagrada Familia Cathedral, the Park Güell, and its beautiful beaches like Nova Mar Bella and Bogadell have been reopened. Many would think that they won’t get to live the entire experience if traveling during these times, but that couldn’t be any more wrong. Almost every attraction is now reopened for you to visit (at least in the case of Barcelona), such as luxury hotels, bars, restaurants, cinemas, zoos, museums, etc. However, they won’t be filled at 100% of their capacity, which could even become a plus for you if you’re not a big fan of waiting in lines and crowded places.

Qeparo, ALBANIA

This product was recommended by Narin Zekovski from Covered Traveler

It’s a small town not touched by tourists, less crowded, which is perfect during the pandemic. There are beaches, mountains, and privacy! It’s also extremely cheap for anyone.

Amazon Rainforest, Ecuador

This product was recommended by Narin Zekovski from Covered Traveler

Exploring the Amazon would be a great way to stay safe from the crowds, hence the pandemic. Amazon Jungle Trek with a small group while camping would be a great destination during COVID.

Kabak Koyu – Faralya, TURKEY

This product was recommended by Narin Zekovski from Covered Traveler

It’s a hidden gem in Turkey away from the crowded vacation places. There are a lot of camping spots that would give you privacy while also being away from the busy hotels. It has one of the best trekking routes, as well as great beaches and nature.

The Paha Sapa

This product was recommended by Vinay Amin from Eu Natural

The Black Hills have a rich history and include several areas for tourists to explore. The Devil’s Tower, Jewel Cave National Monument, Custer State Park, and Mount Rushmore. The Black Hills are named as such because when seen from a distance, the trees lining the mountains made them appear dark. The Black Hills are the oldest in the nation, and when photographed from above, you’ll see outlines of the exact shape of a human heart, complete with chambers, arteries, and veins. The Lakota Sioux tribe deems The Black Hills as sacred and often come here to pray. Learning the rich history of the United States of America is something everyone should try at least once.

Tulum, Mexico

This product was recommended by Agness Walewinder from Etramping

I was living in Tulum, Mexico together with my boyfriend during the pandemic for over 6 weeks. We found a great place where we could peacefully work and study online while obeying social distancing rules without any problems. This place was located 3 km West from the Gran Cenote (and 10 km West from Tulum) immersed in the jungle. It was very peaceful, quiet and relaxing. We could freely go on walks through the trails without worrying about being exposed to COVID-19. There were plenty of uncrowded cenotes around the area that we could easily drive to with a rental scooter. We rented an entire house through Airbnb which was very secluded, safe and so breathtaking (I’ve attached a few pictures of the area). While Tulum can be quite touristic, there are plenty of areas outside of Tulum (approximately 8-10 km far) that are perfect for a short or long stay for couples, families and single travelers. Also, Mexico is one of the very few countries that allow tourists and it’s safe to travel there. I was initially planning to be there for a week but then Coronawirus happened and I was based in Tulum, Cancun, and Playa del Carmen for over 5 months. 🙂

Upstate New York

This product was recommended by Allie Schmidt from Disability Dame

We visited our in-laws at the end of May in New Lebanon, NY and stayed in a really cute Airbnb. It makes a great travel destination, because there are so many hiking trails in the Berkshire Mountains. It’s also a very easy drive, as we took a road trip from Nashville with a 6-month-old. Overall, it’s just a relaxing place to take your mind off things (not to mention, this region was taking COVID a lot more seriously than where we currently live, which was nice).

Belarus

This product was recommended by Danielle Hu from The Wanderlover

Belarus has opened back up to tourists and is a great place to spend some time this year. Visit the many historic sites (like the Mir Castle Complex) and enjoy the unique city of Minsk, the capital of Belarus. It’s a place that might not rank among the top tourist destinations but is still a great place to visit and explore.
